MATT BROUWER GARNERS SIX COVENANT AWARD NOMINATIONS
NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Acclaimed Canadian singer/songwriter Matt Brouwer has received six Covenant Award nominations for his latest recording, Where’s Our Revolution, which was re-released as a Deluxe Edition last week by Universal Music Christian Group/Fontana. The nominations were recently announced by GMA Canada.Brouwer received nominations in the following categories:
- Album of the Year – Where’s Our Revolution
- Recorded Song of the Year – “Come Back Around”
- Male Vocalist of the Year
- Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year – Where’s Our Revolution
- Video of the Year – “I Shall Believe”
- Folk/Roots Song of the Year – “The Other Side” (Matt Brouwer with Amy Grant and Vince Gill)
The 2009 Covenant Awards will be presented during GMA Canada’s Music Week, to be held October 20 – 23 in Calgary, Alberta.
Where’s Our Revolution, Brouwer’s third studio recording, was produced by GRAMMY Award winner Michael Omartian. The recording features 12 new songs written or co-written by Brouwer, including the current single, “Sometimes.” The project also features the #1 singles “Beautiful Now” and “Come Back Around”; “I Shall Believe” and other bonus selections; as well as exclusive video content, including a free download of the “I Shall Believe” video.
Now residing in Houston, Brouwer debuted on Reunion Records and scored a hit with the single “Water.” His recent work has included more radio success with the singles “I Shall Believe,” “Surrender” and “Father I Adore You.” In addition to national and international touring, Brouwer is an Artist in Residence at Woodlands United Methodist Church in Houston.
